About Tekku Philippines

Tekku Philippines is a digital publication dedicated to covering the emerging technology scene in the Philippine landscape.

An imprint of Modern Dot Media, Tekku Philippines was founded in 2026 by Brahm Daniel Verano and Yel Bejoc with more than half a decade of experience spanning various digital spheres across the globe, having the primary objective of taking a dekko at — and catching sight of — the latest technology happenings in the country.

A blend of 'Dekko' and 'Tech'

Derived from the British word 'Dekko' (a look or glance) and 'Tech' (technology), Tekku represents our focus in the industry. It also serves as a nod to the Japanese pronunciation of 'tech,' reflecting our wide-range perspective on the local landscape.
