Chinese smartphone maker Redmi has recently unveiled the key features of the brand's upcoming gaming smartphone, the K90 Max, in China.

Dubbed the "Performance Devil," the upcoming gaming smartphone from the Xiaomi sub-brand is scheduled for an April 21, 2026, release at 7 PM in China. It has an air-cooling system (which is said to "reshape" the new standard of heat dissipation), a 165Hz display with 3,500-nits of peak brightness, and native support for 165 frames-per-second, covering over 40 games.

Appearance-wise, the Redmi K90 Max features an unusual camera bar. The two rear cameras on the left are joined by a noticeable, round grille of what seems to be the device's built-in ventilation module, located at the right (as part of the phone's air-cooling system).

Aside from its key highlights, the Redmi K90 Max has a 3,500Hz touch-sampling rate, backed by a 400Hz six-axis gyroscope, ensuring ultra-fast responses are present within gaming sessions. Meanwhile, the air cooling system comes with a six-year fan warranty, alongside IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications for the device (via ITHome).

While the phone may not be officially available yet, a Beebom report says that Xiaomi has already begun pre-orders for the Redmi K90 in China.
