Last week, vivo made its flagship trio, the vivo X500 series, official in China. Now, the Chinese smartphone maker is set to launch the vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max globally, as the brand confirms the global release date.
In a dedicated teaser web page for the vivo X500 series in Austria, the smartphone company has put up details regarding its global launch. Set to release on October 27, vivo confirms that the X500 series will be launched in the EU on the same day, with pre-orders taking place opening that day and shelf availability on November 5.

While the three phones may finally have their global spotlight, a Gadgets 360 report suggests that they might debut globally with smaller batteries based on the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL) database. According to this database, the vivo X500 might get a 5,300mAh battery, the vivo X500 Pro might get 6,500mAh, and X500 Pro Max might get 6,800mAh.
For comparison, the vivo X500 comes with a 7,500mAh battery, while X500 Pro has 6,510mAh and X500 Pro Max has 8,000mAh. While these regional changes may look substantial on paper, it's important to keep in mind that they could be due to specific requirements in that particular region, as 91mobiles notes.
Announced in China, the vivo X500 series marks the brand's latest partnership with MediaTek, with two phones (X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max) under the lineup being the first to launch with the Dimensity 9600 chipset. Meanwhile, the vanilla vivo X500 launches with Dimensity 9600M, which is said to be a rebadge of last year's Dimensity 9500.
